March 14: Holi (Hindu festival of colors) Holi celebrations are best known for participants joyfully dousing each other in neon-hued powders while enjoying music, dancing, and sweets. It s a feast for all the senses!
March 17: St. Patrick's Day Why do people wear green on St. Patty s Day? Is it to confuse leprechauns, attract luck, or avoid being pinched? Trick question: It s all three!
March 20: First Day of Spring Signs of winter may still be hanging around, but just be patient. Sunshine, warm breezes, and flowers are on their way to brighten things up.
March 30: Eid al-Fitr Marking the end of Ramadan, this holiday is celebrated with acts of charity, gift-giving, and communal meals with family and friends.

Women didn't get the right to apply for mortgages on their own until 1974.
That's when the Equal Credit Opportunity Act was passed. Before that, financial institutions could refuse to lend to unmarried women or could require a male co-signer, and a married woman needed her husband's permission to apply for a mortgage on her own.
